HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Your first step is to call our office at 877.721.0047 to speak with one of our Patient Coordinators. Based on your symptoms and what you’re looking to achieve, they can determine which of our services would be best suited for you. They’ll explain the details and the next steps beyond the call.

WHAT DOES THE EXECUTIVE PHYSICAL ENTAIL?

Our proprietary Executive Physical is comprised of comprehensive lab work, in-house diagnostic testing, and a two-hour consultation with Dr. Breen. Our extensive lab panel includes a hormone evaluation that looks at genetics, sex hormones (i.e.: testosterone and estrogen), growth hormone, thyroid hormone, inflammation markers, cardiovascular risk markers, diabetes risk markers, a complete blood count, and full metabolic panel.

The diagnostic tests performed during the physical include: body composition measurements, visceral fat measurement, bone density testing, carotid artery thickness and plaque assessment, an ECG/EKG, ankle-brachial indexing, and an overnight sleep study.

During the consultation, Dr. Breen takes a deep dive with you into your personal health to interpret the results of your lab work and diagnostics, medical and family history, and review your overall health goals.

Together, you and Dr. Breen discuss what’s medically pertinent to you. He shares our proprietary framework, the 7 Pathways to Wellness. It’s one of our keys to success. From that conversation, a personalized, customized plan is designed specifically for you that has the potential to give you back your health and your life.

HOW MUCH DOES THE EXECUTIVE PHYSICAL COST?

DO YOU ACCEPT HEALTH INSURANCE?

Currently, insurance companies consider our integrative, functional, regenerative medical practice to be “preventative” and do not cover our services. Therefore, we do not accept insurance plans of any kind, and we don’t do any insurance billing whatsoever.

However, your health and medical expenses may be Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) eligible. Several of our patients take advantage of these benefits!

CAN I USE MY HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT (HSA) OR FLEXIBLE SAVINGS ACCOUNT (FSA)?

Our services and products are generally considered appropriate expenditures for HSA and FSA Plans. It’s your responsibility to reference your HSA/FSA eligible expenses list. In the event it’s a service or product that is listed, feel free to process your payment card(s) associated with these plans, or submit receipts or statements for reimbursement (according to your HSA/FSA guidelines). Please check with your tax or financial advisor for more information, and/or your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm eligible expenses.

We are happy to provide financial statements for any services and products received to accommodate your usage of these beneficial plans. That being said, we don’t itemize services and products by cost (using codes), as is done when billing an insurance company. However, many of our patients have reported that their receipts and/or statements have been sufficient for HSA/FSA documentation purposes.

As a reminder, your health and medical expenses may be HSA/FSA Eligible. This includes components such as: program fees, medications, supplements, etc. Please check with your tax or financial advisor and/or HSA/FSA program administrator for more information. We are not authorized to guarantee eligibility for your expenditures.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER YOUR ANNUAL WELLNESS PROGRAMS?

Our annual wellness programs do not include medications, hormones or supplements.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR THE EXECUTIVE PHYSICAL (THE INITIAL CONSULTATION)?

Please dress in workout attire with little to zero metal.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We require a 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule any appointment or service.

I HAD RECENT BLOOD WORK DONE, CAN YOU USE THOSE RESULTS?

We will accept any lab results that have been processed within the past 2 months (60 days). However, our panels are extensive. Therefore, in most cases, additional tests may be required. If you come on board as a new patient, we’d be happy to evaluate any lab tests you’ve had within the past 2 months, and make a determination on what we can use, and what you would still need.

HOW LONG IS THE EXECUTIVE PHYSICAL?

The executive physical is an in-depth health assessment that takes 3-4 hours in the office. There is about 1 hour of diagnostics followed by up to 2 hours of 1:1 time with Dr. Breen. Lastly, the check-out process takes about 30 minutes.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF YOUR WELLNESS PROGRAMS?

The annual fee for service is dictated by an individual’s overall health needs and clinical risk factors. Typically, our programs range from $208-$499/month. Fees are paid annually, and can be financed at 0% interest for 15 months (third party OAC), or paid in full. Medications and supplements are not included in the cost of the wellness programs.

ARE LABS INCLUDED IN WELLNESS PROGRAM FEES?

The cost of ALL lab work required throughout the year is included in the wellness program fees. If you live or work in Orange County, we will send our mobile phlebotomist to you. Or, you can come into our office for your blood draw, with an appointment. If you prefer, you can go directly to your local Quest.

If you’re out-of-area, the cost of all lab work is still included. However, we provide a lab requisition for you to schedule a blood draw on your own with your local Quest (without any draw fees). They will soon offer a mobile phlebotomy option that would cost you a nominal fee, if preferred. Additionally, our wellness programs include between 1-6 Protocol sessions in our Wellness Lab that you can take advantage of if you’re in the Orange County area. The Protocol session includes a combination of each of the three modalities. The number of sessions included depends on the program you’re enrolled in. HOW WILL THE PROGRAM WORK IF I LIVE OUT OF STATE OR OVERSEAS?

If you don’t live locally, we will need to see you in-person (in our Southern California office) for your initial consultation, the Executive Physical. Then, arrangements can be made to handle most, if not all of your care remotely. Based on your risk factors, we may require annual in-person visits to renew. There is proposed legislature that is looking at making it mandatory to see our patients every 6 months in person. So, this may be forthcoming.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE WELLNESS PROGRAM?

Our patients have unlimited access to the resources in our office to purchase supplements, special dietary programs (i.e.: ProLon), use diagnostic equipment (i.e.: body composition and bone density testing), schedule appointments as needed both live and virtual (i.e.: follow-ups, symptom checks, etc.) and full access to our providers (i.e.: medical question phone calls, email, etc.)

Your first year involves a lot of contact and access to our practice and providers. This is due to the extensive interpretation of your labs and diagnostics, your initial consultation (the Executive Physical), and several follow-ups. In addition, the first year includes a comprehensive, 1:1 nutrition evaluation with our certified nutritionist, and enrollment in FEEDTHESOUL™, our proprietary nutrition program that includes a series of nutrition coaching sessions throughout the duration of the year.

Patients have access to member-only pricing, without markups for specialty tests such as: the Galleri Test (a multi-cancer early detection blood test that looks for over 50 types of cancer, which people call the “liquid biopsy”), and the Cleerly Analysis which redefines cardiovascular care by detecting soft plaque in the carotid artery that’s not seen in other traditional imaging methods. This can more accurately determine your risk of heart attack and the progression of coronary heart disease/atherosclerosis. We also have access to in-house rates for Advanced Nutritional Tests, i.e.: food sensitivities, food allergies, nutrient testing, nutritional genetics, etc. and Functional Medicine Tests, i.e.: gut health, heavy metals, environmental toxins, diurnal cortisol, etc. that can be ordered.

AFTER THE FIRST YEAR IN THE PROGRAM, IS THERE A REDUCTION IN COST TO CONTINUE WITH OUR SERVICES?

Yes, unless you were placed in the lowest tiered program initially, our annual renewal program requires a significantly lower investment, and you can renew each year indefinitely, as recommended.

The annual renewal program includes everything you received during your Year One Program, except FEEDTHESOUL™. However, you do receive a 30-minute annual check-in with Cat, our Certified Nutritionist who guided you through FEEDTHESOUL™, if you were enrolled.

If you’d like ongoing access to Cat for accountability, education or more, you can purchase sessions with her separately, or enroll in the nutrition maintenance program.

WHAT ARE YOUR PARKING ACCOMMODATIONS?

Parking at our office is easeful. We have ample parking spaces that is completely free of cost, at all times. Upon parking in our spacious lot, you’re steps away from our semi-private, uncongested first-floor entrance and building.

You’ll never need to wait, idle your engine for a coveted parking spot, or have to navigate a cramped parking garage or lot, or fiddle with parking validation tickets. Once in our office, there are rarely any lines.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PORTAL AND FULLSCRIPT? CAN I ORDER MY MEDICATIONS ON FULLSCRIPT?

The patient portal (AdvancedMD/AMD) is where you can manage all of your medical and payment information with our office. You can send and receive secure email messages and more. You can also order medications and request refills from our providers through your personal account.

We provide you with free access to a Fullscript account. Fullscript is a website platform where you can directly purchase supplements that our providers recommend (or other medical-grade supplements for yourself or others). You cannot order prescription medications or hormones on Fullscript, only nutritional supplements.
